So I’ve started another 7070 on the sideline…

It’s not terribly impressive yet (and may never be), but I’ve always enjoyed the Dansco 7070 type set in any grade range. This is perhaps my fourth time doing one.

Many of the coins I’m starting with came with the album when I bought it in a dealer friend’s shop. Some definitely will need replacement later, but I think it’s a solid starter set. I’ve added the Reeded Edge Bust half, Trade dollar, and others since beginning it.

I might flip it before I finish it (the Seated dollars are rather daunting!), but I intend to have fun with it for a little while first.

Anyway, here it is, in its beginning stages. :)

Nice endeavor and I'm sure it's fun. I do wonder why it takes four commemorative half dollars to represent the type.

BTW, I was talking to a dealer at FUN and he said he had seen DANSCO 7070s (empty) going for as high as $300. I have no idea how much truth was in that statement - you do hear a lot of "stuff" at a show.

I paid $300 for this one- BUT it came with quite a lot of coins in it- and not just moderns!
