    Hey all,

I've been looking for a slq for well over 6 months now that speaks to me for my type set. I found one about 3 months ago i really liked a 1930 au50, but it sold before I can snag it. I've been beating myself since. Well this one came up on my want list and it intrigues me to say the least. I just want some opinions in her. Given my love for the design I want to be careful with my choice but again something about this one has me interested. I'm looking in the au50-58 range so it works. A higher au would be nice but again there is something about this one. What do you all think, any critique about the coin, the condition of the holder, ect? Just want thoughts?

    Thanks.

Not bad at all, nice example of a type coin and a good grade to boot!

I think you can do much better than that coin. From the scan, it looks dull/lifeless with very little remaining luster. The difference in quality between an AU58 and AU50 is huge. I think you should wait until you find a more eye appealing example for your type set. BTW, there are three different varieties of SLQ, which one are you after? You should be able to get a dynamite AU58 for $100-$125. Trust me the extra money over the $85 will be well spent.

I'm looking in the $100 range so a type 2 is most likely

Try and find yourself a seldom seen AU die clash or inverted mm 1928. These are overlooked sometimes and would make for a unique addition for the money.

I am not at all impressed and suggest you keep looking. For just a type coin in the range you're looking, there are much nicer examples that can be had around your budget, and at the very least, search out an example with nice original skins.
