The reason for this contest is... I rec'd a nice birthday note in change yesterday and would like someone who meets the criteria, to enjoy it. The note is a $1 2006 FRN, ser# 000-X-XXXX, 000-Month-Year. I know many CTers will not fall in this range, but it is what it is, Yn's and Greyhairs are out, (sorry to be so blunt, but I am in the latter category myself) In order to make it somewhat fair, the range of dates will be from 000-1-1973 to 000-9-1977, so if your birth month and year fall in that range, please post them and I will award the note to the one that has the correct match. In the case of a tie, I will decide later, depending of number of matches, if there will be second or third prizes. The note is circulated, but very lightly, and to all of RickieB's followers, is from NY.( He won't qualify) This contest will end at 9 pm EST, 9/27. Good luck to all. As noted your birth month must be a single digit month, so Oct. to Dec. your out of luck, sorry, blame your parents!!
thanks for the contest :hail: I think i have this just my birt date and iam in the contest 06-08-1973
1981 here; but we still had disco on the Top 40, inflation, auto prices under $10,000, no cell phones yet, and "M*A*S*H" on TV....Does that count?
I seem to have struck a sour note with my age comments,so... lets open this up also to Cter's who have kids that might have a birthdate within this range!
My Dad gets me lots of coins and his Birthday is 03-04-1974! He was the one to get me intrested in collecting so does that count for me to enter pennywise??
As with this note Kent, the the serial# is 000-Mo-Year, in which you were born, if you match up, that simple.
Sorry I could not respond to the end of this contest last night, I could not connect to CT, alas, no one matched the correct date of this note so I am opening this to all who wish to enter. I will award the note to the first CTer who guesses the correct ser# according to the guidelines of my first post. the ser# is 000-X-XXXX, so you must match a single digit Month and full year, five digits, between 1-1973 and 9-1977. The first match I rec. will win the note, That simple, good luck. Jay B.
