I just checked the U.S. Mint website to see what time o'clock the 2007 American Silver Eagle Uncirculated Coins were to go on sale tomorrow, and to my surprise they apparently have been postponed until late May or June. The Gold ASE's go on sale tomorrow, but not the Silver ones. Just thought some of you might like to know. ND - I read a post on another forum that stated with the large number of subscription purchases, this coin may be sold out and no longer minted for 07. I thought the uncs were minted to demand? Can there be any truth to this post? Thanks, Dragon
Sold out before they have even begun ..... hard to believe the mint or any business would leave that much money on the table. The mint may have sold enuff subscription to cover the amount of production they expect to have by the orginal release date. I was hoping to get some along with the proof sets for myself and a few others at one time. Oh well may just be another behind schedule delay
ND86 ??? any words to shoot the theory down that the mint will only mint enough to cover subscriptions??
Thanks ND. Seemed hard to believe, but one never knows. With the sheer number of products to be minted in 07, any problems that pop up could challenge capacity or produce schedule conflicts.
