With the price of silver going the way it is, and the Red and Blue books 2011 basing their prices off silver being $16/oz, I found I had to create my own, expanded guide based on the measly one provided in said books. (Hope the attatchment works) I traveled last week 220 miles or so to a coin show. A few days prior to the show I went to several coin shops in the area (sounds alien to me... SEVERAL shops in SAME AREA) and had mixed reactions. In one shop I watched them work a guy over right in front of me...$200 for $16.70 face solid silver, telling him how good they were being and silver was 34.75/0z (25x face) In another shop I talked with the proprietor for about an hour before we got to the coins! Laughably, the last shop I visited, which took time for me without an appointment ( I noticed it was open on my way to the show and couldn't help myself. I went in.) was the only one to have the business sense to give me a card on my way out. I will be doing business with them the next time I buy. Over 100 vendors at the show, which featured a Registry Set of colonial currency, the oldest I saw in the 1730's. All were in PCGS holders and beautiful. They held my attention for a while, but my 15 month old moved me away from everything faster than I wanted. I saw a book there called An Authoritative Reference on Lincoln Cents would anyone recommend it?

Nice Doc, I also find myself looking up coinflation.com while at a show.

That's a cool chart, nice thing to have in the pocket. I don't have a smartphone so this will come in really handy.

Excellent chart! I will be adding it to my "take to the show" pile from now on.
    Thanks!
