I have a lot of 12 Ike dollars, thought at first they were silver, but none from the S mint.

    they are from 1971, 72, 74, 75-76, 77 and 78; 6 from Philly and 6 from Denver

I'm pretty sure they are plated because they have that particular toning/haze silver gets and all the middle of the "D" mintmarks are filled.

Anybody has any idea one value/provenance?

    Thanks for your time!

Sounds like you are right about them being plated. This could have been done for many reasons. Experiment, or possibly for a novelty. Maybe they were going to be put togethor as a novelty collection of some sort. Kind of like how you can buy plated state quarters. Maybe throw a picture up? Also, be sure to weigh one.

These are worth face because the plating is damage, IMO. Otherwise they have a value around $.35 over face, as bags of $100 increments sell for $135.
