    About how much would a 1942 s nickel be if it was graded by pcgs or ngc
    graded ms-60

    it would only be worth $7, and the fee is what, $25?

    It would be like slabbing a modern 2007 cent in MS-63. A novelty because the slab doesn't make the coin any more desirable. IMHO it would be certification for the sake of certification.
