found a 1945-d in xf-45 (lustrous) condition, also a shield cent and qa bermuda nickel all in the same roll, at first was pissed at the cent, then the foreign nickel, but got happy once i found the silver! so far looked at 4 out of 20 rolls, a lot of ms-60 to ms-65 soso's and 2021's, a few older unc..a handful of 40's and 50's and 2 1939's one in au-55, the other f-12..and a whole roll of 2020 and 2021 with the behive error on right side of building in various stages from a barely there crack to a nice size blob...

Do you ever find any 2009s? To get folks at work interested in numismatics, I would offer $1 for any 2009 nickels or dimes they found in change (not on eBay). Some were found, but on one wanted to sell. :)

Nice find on the silver War nickel. I used to find them pretty regularly, back in the day, but it's much harder now. (Not to mention I don't do much CRH anymore.)

pictures here, on the ones where the die break is just beginning, it is hard to show with my limited 16 pixel camera on phone, but it starts out barely there then grows to a beehive, many of these are currently for sale on usa coin book and on ebay for .99 to the 3.00 range..mine are all fs, and ms-60-63 it is hard to find em higher grade as nickels sure do take a beating..i have almost a full roll now IMG_20210813_144425895.jpg IMG_20210813_144433337.jpg IMG_20210813_144441348.jpg IMG_20210813_144445851.jpg IMG_20210813_144456343.jpg

the die break is on the left side of the building, although i have seen (and purchased) some that have it on right side as well, but those were 2018-p

hope this helps, mine start showing a barely there mark to a 1 mm sized blob, they have been calling these beehive errors..and are readily available on ebay and usa coin book, though i am not selling mine at this time

It's nice when the U.S. Treasury cuts their budget just enough to give us the error coins we all know and love. :)

every day o i go through ebay and especially target 2020- 2021 error coins, since i have read every listing there is for them, i narrow it down to "newly listed" in search parameters, i also scour the internet looking for new and unusual errors..constantly buying, i recently (january of this year) started collecting full time again, i also roll hunt...i have over 2000 errors, with about 35 or so being slabbed...i find unslabbed coins of same condition and grade and type loose for a lot less than slabbed ones, sometimes i will see a coin i paid 15.00 for going for 100 or 200 dollars on weinberg, or sullivan or heritage or great collections, all because it is in a slab, lol

just popped open another roll from latest batch and found a 2019 with this error as well, seems they are a modern condition, they seem to date 2009 and up from what i see first hand and on line

I do that, too. I usually give them out to kids...to spark their imaginations.

Do you find them more on "D"s than "P"s? It looks like a die cud due to excessive pressure. I think of Denver has having the most powerful presses and was wondering if these errors were more common for "D" minted coins.

Perhaps the Mint is releasing some old bags of circulated coins...to make up for the coin shortage. Everyone seems to be finding circulated 1939 nickels!
