Hey cointalk, I was roll- searching a couple of weeks ago and I found 2 Silver quarters in 1 roll! Plus a 1939 nickel in another! What are y'all's finds?
now since im in Korea im lookin for the 1998 500won coin-- the lowest mintage of only 8,000 in Mint Sets!
Yesterday my youngest son calls me and tell me he found a 1964-D Quarter. He almost spent it in the candy machine at college. Seems the machines reject silver coins. So later that night on the phone it was a teaching moment to clue him in on silver coins and clad halves and silver nickels. Also he told me he would always put aside anything that "Looked ODD". I told him the Quarter is worth about $4.oo each right now. Lesson learned.
Funny. I bought a roll of silver quarters on eBay, and I found that two of them were clad. I'd say "send them over", but the seller already gave me a partial refund, so I'm good.
