I was bored off my tail today at work and as you can see I concentrated my efforts elsewhere. Here are my two best (re)discoveries. Both of these cam from my JUNK box. I used both electrolysis and brass brush. The one on the right is SILVER. That was a pleasant surprise when I pulled it out of the BLACK electro solution of water and salt. Very cool Bone! I especially like the reverse on the first one.I don't think I've ever seen one quite like that.It looks like the soldier is spearing the horseman while he is still riding.Usually he is on the ground.Have you found it on Wildwinds?
I think it might be another Julian II...not this particular coin but I don't know of another emperor who looks like this..no headgear and wavy lined hair.
