I was kind of bored this evening, so I devised a quick excel spreadsheet that allows you to put in how many of each silver bearing coin in. Then, you type the silver price in at the top, and voila! A quick way to calculate silver value! I am happy! Tell me what you think. Thanks!
Here is a rapidshare link: http://rapidshare.com/files/102398580/Silver_Computation.xls.html Its only like 10k, so it won't have much of a download time... Sorry!!!
Works for me. My first impression was to just go to www.coinflation.com. However, this is a cute and handy little spreadsheet to keep track of your silver junk coins (if you don't have too complicated of a collection). Four areas to add to make it <great> --> Add 40% Kennedys Add 40% Ikes Add ASE's Add Generic Silver rounds
The Kennedys and Ikes are in there. The 1965-1970 halves are kennedys, and the ikes are the 40% coins. They were only released as S mint proof or uncirculated coins only.
Jeeeez. No wonder I get in trouble at work. Guess I should think about quitting my "Quality Control" post.
Rapidshare worked great. I still couldn't get your first link to open up. Oh well, I have the file now. Thanks.
I've have to say that coinflation.com was good and served a purpose, but this spread sheet is great! It is exactly what I was looking for. Simple and to the point - nothing fancy. I was keeping track of all my numbers on a scrap piece of paper and with the changing price of silver I could never keep track of what my scrap silver was worth. Thanks for doing this.
No problem whatsoever!! I actually had some fun making this spreadsheet, and I pulled all ov the silver weights off of coinflation. I think mine is better though...:kewl::mouth:
