Do any of you know any silver art bar dealers? I want to start an online store selling silver art bars and I see all these stores on Ebay that have dealers but I have searched the internet and I can't find any dealers. thanks
Are those the thingies that the Franklin and Hamilton Mints come up with and sell? If so, they are their own dealers.
These links show you what they are. These links go to 2 stores on Ebay. http://stores.ebay.com/California-Silver-Bullion http://stores.ebay.com/Barda-Silver-Exchange
Jody has answered your question - it is a link to an entire list of silver art bar dealers - click on it.
I have a small stash of art bars. I actually have a book with slots for 1oz bars. I've got it almost filled with Englehard bars from different years. They look real nice in the book. Will make a great gift for some one some day.
There are a handful of dealers in the link that Jody provided. lynncoins.com www.SwissAmerica.com www.rivercitycoins.com These are but a few on page one.
Well unfortunately, suppliers are going to be a little tougher to find. Dealers by nature do not like sharing specific information about how we obtain our special merchandise. Now we do not deal in this area, so I can't help you to find a supplier. You can try contacting the firms directly and asking for their suppliers. Be prepared to hear that the suppliers only deal with licensed dealers though. It isn't easy to become a coin dealer in most states. So your work may be cut out for you. Some states still require individuals to obtain a pawnbrokers license to deal in gold and silver. So check with your state. That is about all I can tell you. Good luck!
I believe National dealer is refering to the dealers, which have already been shown to you. Don't be surprised, though, if they all tell you the same thing. It just wouldn't make sense for them to reveal their sources, and thereby potentially increase their competition.
Don't take the rejections personally. You have stated that you wish to break into this business. One big reason that dealers survive is protecting what they have. This is done with their supplies, customers, and contacts. This isn't exactly the easiest business. Don't get me wrong, I have made many dear and close personal friends along the way. I deal with other dealers every day. They are 80% of my business. It just takes time and experience.
Then how do you find a suppler? I have looked all over the internet and I have asked a lot of people but they all say that they spent a lot of time and money finding the supplier and they don't want to tell. thanks
