Silver Ancient coin help with ID

    Hey guys just need some help with this coin, dont know if its fake or not , i will let the pro's help me with that. What is it though?

    Also it weights 4.48g and diameter is 19mm.

    Hard to tell but my gut says its fake.

    Do you have some photos of the edge? I agree with Doug and Mat, the dark silver coins always give me pause.

    Brighter light.

    What we are seeing is an example of a Carthaginian silver coin, (shekel, etc), but with dark toning. The dark toning bothers us a lot since it is very frequently used to hide telltale signs of casting. That is why we are asking for better pics and pics of the edge.

    Thats fair enough, i will take pics as soon as the sun comes out because its still dark over here :(

    The new photos make me more of the opinion that the coin is a modern cast replica/fake.

    Me as well. Sorry. It appears a casting line is on the edge, filed down but still there.
