I have a question regarding this 1996 NGC MS69 Silver Eagle. I received it as a birthday gift the other day. I noticed on the reverse at the bottom of the coin that there are two marks. As far as I can tell they aren't on the holder, so am I seeing them on the coin? I have other NGC MS69 Silver Eagles and none of them have anything close to this on them. I also noticed that on the obverse right on liberties chest there is a mark. That mark I know is on the holder because I can feel it when I rub my finger on it. So with the mark on the front and the two on the back do you think I should ask for an exchange or is this normal.

    Thanks for your help!

First of all if you received it as a gift, keep it. It didn't cost you anything and the person that gave it to you thinks they gave you something you'ld really like. Let them feel good and don't worry about some tiny little almost unnoticable thing that wouldn't effect your wanting it. However, if you plan to just sell it and are not worried about the feelings of the person that gave it to you, then try for an exchange.
Again, you didn't pay for it and someone thinks they gave you something really nice.

Unless you recieved it as a gift from NCG I dont think they will exchange the coin.... If the coin is from a friend / loved one they are probably not as passionate as you are about coins so they did not know they were buying / getting for you a coin that was less than perfect. Don't worry be happy that they cared enough to get you a coin.. sorry it did not work out...
