I found this Kennedy in a roll. I think it was some gold plated one. Is it silver or just a normal Kennedy? The rims look silver... Thanks!

I found one non-silver kennedy that had an edge like that. It was weird.

The only think I can tell you is that it is almost certainly normal and not silver. However, flip it in the air, and do the same with a known silver half and a known clad half. There is QUITE a difference with the ring it gives off. You'll know.

I just tried the flip between this and a 1964 Kennedy. I can definitely hear the difference. Never thought of trying that! Thanks for the tip :). Back to the bank it goes...

At one time is was probably plated gold, used to commemorate some kind of 20 year event (1960-1980) and subsequently put back into circulation, amazing to be found after all these years. Put it back into circulation and let someone else find it.

I have one of those! I don't think that it is worth anything other than half a dollar!
