Has the bottom fallen out of the signed slab market? In the last couple of weeks I've bought 4 of them on eBay, for a grand total of $44 (including shipping). Seems dirt cheap to me. I see ICG still advertises the signed proofs on their website, at around $50 EACH! For some reason they didn't grade the MS coins, go figure. But I'd think any premium over normal prices for ICG PR69's and 70's (which aren't expensive these days) would be for the signature... so what difference does it make? None to me, obviously.

State quarter fad is fading. It's not slabs, it's the quarters.

Buy the coin. In this case, the coin isn't anything spectacular. The signature is just a gimmik.

I think this is correct. The slab market isn't falling, it's the state quarter market, it collapsed more than a year ago, IMHO.

I thought the quarter market dropped at the end of 2001?

I think everybody knew that these would not be worth a whole lot when the state quarter fad market dropped.
