    Shrews do you have gloves you can use when handling the coins? You should use coin gloves when handling proofs especially.

    Not so. The use of gloves is GREATLY discouraged. What "Shrews" is shown doing IS the recommended method. The use of gloves reduces grip sureness and dexterity and the risk of dropping a coin is GREATLY increased. All responsible sources advise against using gloves.

    This is the beginning of a neat set. It has inspired me to search out a "plain" Capital Plastics holder for my S nickel proofs. I finished the 1950-64 one.

    Yes sir. But a soft "drop zone" is always recommended.

    White cotton gloves please. Oil on your fingers will be transferred to the coin even if you wash and dry them first. But hold them over something soft in case of dropping them.
