I was wondering if anyone from North America collects Papal coins, tokens, medals, etc. I already know people in Europe do. If you do, show us some of them, please.

This medal commemorates a visit to Colombia in 1986...

The wife loves 'em. She picked up a few at the FUN show in Orlando this past January.

No coins or tokens, but I've got a batch of Papal medals by Hamerani, Cerbara, Bianchi and Girometti. This one is by Bianchi for Pius IX in 1864.

Hate to say it, but I first read it as PayPal too! I thought they might have started making a PayPal-coin to compete with BitCoin.
Too much time spent staring at ebay.....

Does a Scudo from the Papal States count?

Just stating the obvious. How could I be upset, have you seen my official CT title under avatar? You could have made your joke photo a bit smaller.;)

Reason for the use of "Papal", as opposed to "Pope", is that other Pope related coins do exist and have no Pope on them. Sede Vacante coins are very sought after, unique and Papacy related.

Many papal medals depict key architectural sites or commemorate major building projects. This Gregory XVI medal by Giuseppe Cerbara (Mazio 624, 68mm, 191gm) commemorates the opening of the Monte Catillo tunnel in 1835.
