There was a thread for people to show off their Morgans, and I think that Walkers are right up there with them when it comes to beautifull silver coins. So lets see em!
Here is my 38-D. Not my best in condition, but it is my most valuable.
I guess I'll throw in a 43 too since I have it on hand.

    Thanks in advance for sharing!

Airedale, just a guess, but is it in a pci slab sold on ebay from jeff wherlin, aka JWCAMEO? I feel I can recognize his photos instantly, but I may be wrong.

    gleaming photo

    Beautiful photo. Beautiful coin.

What is the technique for getting such nice photo's. Each time I try and take photos, even of high grade mirror like coins, they come out awful.

I'm using a 5.0 megapix Kodak, 10x optical, but still cant seem to get good photos. I read somewhere that it's better to put the coin on a black surface so as to cut down on excessive glare.

That 1939 Walker $1/2 is an interesting piece.I've never seen a Proof one before, let alone,an Unc. one.

We get a lot of worn ones turning up over here in New Zealand.

I think you nailed it ;) Jeff has some nice coins, but many times his prices seem to be high.

I do wish he would send his PF66 Franklins to NGC and not PCI as then I might be interested ;)

    Speedy,
Jeff seems to get all his coins in PCI slabs, as they label non-cam coins as deep cam (IMO). He then turns up the contrast on his camera to make all coins look like they are deep cameo. I have seen many many coins in hand that he has sold, and not one of them even came close to being cameo (I was a victim of his when I first started with coins, and it cost me about 700 dollars). In my opinion he is a true scumbag.

Ruben,we had all branches of the U.S. armed forces here, not just the Marines.I wouldn't know how U.S. coins would have been accepted as payment over here.Fiji's 1942S & 1943S coins are very common over here as well.
