Should I send coin for grading?

    Hello everyone looking gor a little advice here I'm new to this coin collecting, I have this 1989D penny that I wanted to send out for granding it to PCGS, it looks in pretty good shape and shine. What do you guys think?

    Welcome!

    Definitely not worth sending that one in (unless it's some sort of rare variety which I don't do). As a beginner my advice would be to not worry about sending coins in for grading for quite some time. If you want a graded coin I would buy one already graded until you really get a feel for what a coin will grade and depending on that grade if it was worth the cost to send it in.

    You seem unusually motivated to get coins graded. Why? Don't answer me, answer yourself. Getting this done is typically expensive.

    No, it would need to grade MS68 RD for there to be any logic to certifying this cent. Do you know what an MS68 looks like? :)They are mighty scarce.
