    hamman88 Spare some change, sir?

I purchased a near complete set of sacs on ebay for $36 (don't you love sellers who don't know anything about coins). It has 2000-2004 with proofs and even the $100 one. Do you think I should save these (are they going to go way up in price?), split them up and resale, or finish the set with the 05's,06's,and 07's and them sell as a set. You opinon is appreciated.

yes, the 2001 proof. The redbook says $100 but it really goes for about $65.

You certainly got a great deal on those. Id finish off the set and then sell it. By that time you may want to keep it for yourself.

I think you should feel guilty about getting such a good deal and pass it along to somebody else. (Like ME).. Just kidding. congrats on the coins, keep em.. I do think however that the 2001 is still overpriced and will come down in time. Look at the mintages

Yeah, I did look at the mintages, it was the same as the others. Why would it be more expesive?

I've decided to sell, do you think I would get more from a dealer or ebay?

I took this from another thread. Saves him and other people from explaining it again. A good question though. Just a very popular one. ;)

A suggestion of mine. Go to a few dealers. Find out what they will give you for it. The dealer that offered you the most, set that as your reserve on ebay, or set it a few dollars more than whatever the top offer. Than, if it doesn't sell for what the top dealer offered, you can go sell it to him. But if you make more than what the dealer offered on ebay, that's great too.To me, it's almost a win win situation. Do I make sense? Hope what I have said helps.

LOL. So you know, if you missed the who quoted it part, it was originally posted by GDJMSP a while ago. The selling idea was mine though. Best of luck!
