Should I get this 1960-P Franklin Half Dollar graded?

Discussion in 'What's it Worth' started by Vegas Coin Collector, Apr 20, 2023.

  1. I have this pretty nice 1960-P Franklin Half and I was wondering if you guys thought it would be worth having graded or not? Also, what grade do you think it would likely end up getting and do you think it would get the FBL designation?

**Please note that the wavy looking imperfections that are visible on the bell on the reverse of the coin and the minor imperfections on Franklin's cheek on the obverse are NOT from post mint damage and are either the result of a die clash or some sort of struck over error because they are actually raised up from the surface of the coin, not the other way around**

Hey Vegas try to upload the photos directly to this thread and not from the media page. It will let us blow them up. It's really close to full bell lines just the center top lines look a little light, could be your photos. I am at gem just by the surfaces.

  6. Thanks for the feedback everyone and I will make sure to post images directly to the thread from now on. I'm making a small light box specifically for photographing my coins in also so the quality of my images should also be better moving forward as well.

Based on your feedback I am going to go ahead and submit it next time I send in send in some coins for grading.
