IMO it's usually a scam but let's see what other people say

The seller didn't search them. His brother did! Don't believe these hucksters.

ok, wheat cents are worth 5 cents each in bulk, but this listing is at 7 cents a pop, not including shipping.
also, it is not enough, someone easily searches through 50 cents, 500, not so easily, look for the bigger lots, the bigger the lot, the smaller chance of the seller looking through it and picking out the goodies.
and look at the sellers feedback on his feedback page, not his listing.
if you want wheat cents, maybe post an add on craigslist.

Don't worry you'll probably find a few wheaties... Better to pay One cent for them instead of 7! Good luck

Now, tanks are a different story. They have all been searched, but if you can find a Sherman in MS65 or better, go for it!

The term "unsearched" is largely irrelevant. If you take that out, you have:

"hey guys i found [a] wheat penny roll for $3.50 is it worth it?"

How else would they know the roll is full of wheat pennies, unless they searched through other pennies to find them? There's a lot of auctions that claim to be "original bank sealed rolls of pennies that have been sitting in a bank vault for 75 years!" , or the roll has been sitting in someone's house for the past 50+ years. In both examples, they're probably full of it.

Yeah that is what most people do unfortunately. I usually just sell rolls of wheats after I have assembled them myself. This whole unsearched roll thing is nonsense. For instance if you saw a roll with say an indian cent or mercury dime end on it you are going to tear that thing apart and find every good coin you possibly can.

This is also another way people will fool you. They put a indian cent on one end and maybe a wheat on the other. Claim it is unsearched and sell it for a ridiculous amount of money. Once you crack the roll open you might find 3 or so more wheats and the rest would probably be copper pennies.

Now you are talking. I could probably conquer half of Mexico with that thing. It would only cost about $5,000,000 Dollars.

You can probably get one at "Honest Creighton's Used Vehicles" for less.
