Hello everyone, So ever since about a year ago I have carried a 2003 Green seal $2 bill in my wallet for my friends to sign. Haven't gotten many signatures cause I started around the same time as Covid. It's my personal note just to have as a keepsake for clubs/shows/other places I go to. Anyways, I am planning on having a second short snorter. This one specifically would be for VIPs like authors, celebrities, politicians (even the ones I do not like). Once Bill Fivaz starts coming to club meetings I will get him on there; and if I go to seminar sometime hopefully more influential authors will get to sign as well. Since I am in GA it would be awesome to get Jimmy Carter's signature; just not sure if he's doing meetups still. Imagine having a SS with multiple presidents. Anyways enough rambling, I have 2 questions for yall. 1. Has anyone here tried this before? Even with just the personal snorter? 2. What kind of note should I use for this? I will include a poll for that and any other suggestions are welcome.
If I were you, I'd go with a 53/63 $2 Legal Tender Note. They're plentiful, and high-grade examples are quite common. I wouldn't feel all that bad about using it for signatures.
I have some from shows that I went to, IBNS meetings, etc. Curiously, I never did one while I was in service. I usually just pulled out whatever was in my pocket. Only once did I plan ahead. I attended the Medal of Honor Society Convention and used $10.00 notes from the appropriate time period including a North Africa and Hawaii note and MPC.
They did 1 here awhile back Dec. 15, 2013. I got to sign 1 "SPIRITYODA(CRAIG WILSON). Post #397 Link: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/th...bers-1923-1-silver-certificate.217593/page-20 I think they did it to raise money for CT ?
