I had a recent post about a place I found last week while traveling for work. I'm selfish and want to return before any one of you experts clean it out. I thought I would pass on the locations of a couple of other places where I had some recent luck. If anyone is traveling in and around New England, you can check them out. If you know any others nearby, please add to the list.

About five miles east of Whitehall, NY on route 4. It's about 15 minutes from Lake George, coming on route 149. If you're traveling east on route 4, you go through Whitehall, then there's an antique shop on the right (south side) a few miles out of town. It's a little run down. It's actually a consignment shop for 60+ sellers. The guy took me around to a few setups that had coins. Super friendly and no pressure... none of the sellers are there. You have to look... the coins are mixed in with flow-blue dishes, old baseball cards, silver hairpins, and mother-of-pearl buttons. If you are with anyone that likes antiques and other collectibles, they can browse too. One section always has a few dozen coins (but I've bought from a few different setups). A week ago I picked up one Morgan dollar, a 1 oz silver panda still sealed from the Shenzhen Guoba mint, and a couple other mixed coins.

Between Burlington and Shelburne VT on route 7. Heading north from Shelburne on route 7, right side (east side), just a mile south of Burlington. It's another antique consignment shop. Nicer building. There's a display from a coin shop that went out of the business. It still gets stocked weekly. I've been there four times and have gotten a VAM every time. Twice I had to buy a "5 silver dollars for $50" deal, but I wanted the one coin in the bag.

    Happy Holidays and Happy Hunting.
