Looked these up in Spink......I know the shilling is common in EF but I thought the Bank Token looked nice. Any comments appreciated.
Yes, the new coinage of George III is always nice ... personally, though, I've never actually seen either 1 1/6 or 3/- bank token, but have seen pictures. Are these pieces ones you're contemplating buying? If so, then the token looks very nice, I'd say.
bank token Thanks for the reply Andy.....they came as a pair, so picked them up today. Not greatly valuable I'm sure but a more sensible addition to my collection then my previous post I imagine.
