Shield Nickels with extra....and missing parts...

    No doubt if youre hunting varieties shield nickels is a place to start. Its been said there are more varieties of shield nickels still to be found then there is known or currently listed.
    Here's two shield nickels....both missing items in their designs,as well have extra parts not part of its design.

    You're thinking of Zod. Yeah, bad guy. He's been known for taking leaves off of 1869 Shield nickels.

    The missing leaf 1869 is good and an actual variety, the missing letters on the 1866 is just a grease fill. But the 1866 is also a DDO which is more imprtant than a grease fill.
