Odd the bird looks like a tweety bird but that tail? Also, on the reverse I like the sabers. Never saw any with handles like those.
I just came back from Guatemala in April to adopt a baby. I made sure to get one of each of the coins while I was there.
I believe it is the quetzal bird...it is the national bird of Guatemala and the bird that Guatemala's monetary denomination, the Quetzal, is based on. Also, the coin in question is one centavo. From what I remember, there are 100 centavos to a quetzal. When I was in Guatemala a couple of years ago, the exchange rate was about 8 Quetzales to 1 dollar.
