The strike on this one isnt very bold, but some good shadows brings out the details.
At some point someone decided to punch two holes in it probably to wear as a necklace. Im guessing its shapur II as the globe in his crown has some detail. Can anyone help with the mint and if its got a date.

Your coin is Shapur I, whose bust and crown are similar to Shapur II, but notice the long ear flap- that's distinctive to Shapur I. No mint or date on the reverse- the Sasanians hadn't gotten around to listing them yet. There's a bit of reverse legend, which I think is usually "nura zi shahpuhri" (fire of Shahpur) though yours doesn't seem to match that. Maybe a degraded legend?

Easiest way for me to know the difference is Shapur I has the larger, more classically early Sasanian portrait. The very earliest coins of Shapur II sometimes look a little like this, but most don't.
