    I like the comments:

"it is graded m-70--this is a 3rd rate gradeing service..so please be advised grade is most likely lower..."

At least the seller is honest.

I read in a recent ANA publication, Ebay is setting up newer standards where it will not allow or recognise self slabbers. Something to do with recognizing only the top 4 slabbers. Not sure when it is to come into effect. I read it in passing and just made a note.

Its not even a third rate slab. I like how the slab is in full focus and the coin is blurry. PT Barnums quote will always hold true.

Scotto, the policy you mention is already in effect. If it's not in a slab by an eBay recognized third party grader it is considered to be "raw" and must be listed that way.

However, the link cited above shows that there are any number of ways to get around this. For example, if eBay is parsing the title for "MS-something" make it "M-something". Kind of like avoiding trademark infringement by calling a car a "Ch--y" or "F-rd" instead of "Chevy" or "Ford" (an actual example from my model railroading hobby).

I imagine that we'll see even more creative methods of avoiding the rules.

    Thanks for the clarification.

Well some people believe rules are meant to be broken.
