  1. Severus Alexander Denarius. 227 AD. IMP C M AVR SEV ALEXAND AVG, laureate draped bust right / P M TR P VI COS II P P, PAX running left, holding olive branch and sceptre

    The strike on this is a little off, but I like the definition on Pax; particularly the hair and skirt

    One has to appreciate the detail on the reverse. Nice coin.

    I agree with chrsmat => I think Pax is bringin' it on the reverse!! (oh but, Severus Alexander is definitely lookin' fine himself on that great obverse!!)

    => congrats iamt => the coin is a winner!!


    ... oh, and the odd flan-shape is even kinda cool
