I've been thinking about getting together a small set of Euros...basically interested in getting one representative coin from each country that uses Euro as their currency. So far I've only got German Euro (from my stop-over at Frankfurt airport!).Is anyone aware of any such set out there? I don't seem to find any....may be I'm just too tired after a long day at work! :headbang: Any comments appreciated.
Well you could go to eBay and look for some. I don't know other than that you could visit the places.

If you want to collect some, I would focus on the circulation coins (including the €2 commems maybe) from those 16 euro countries that are EU member states. The other three issue euro coins too, but primarily in sets. Also note that the map on the common sides of the mid-range (10-20-50 cent) and bimetallic (€1-€2) coins was modified a few years ago. As for the original 11 or 12 euro countries, the earlier pieces should be easier to get ... Christian
