recently purchased all four of the western expansion jefferson's slabbed by ngc as pf 69 ultra cameo for 18 bucks. was wondering how many of these have been certified as such and whether or not i spent too much thanks for your time and sage responses
I assume you are referring to the 2004-2005 Westward Journey "Peace Medal", "Keelboat", "Bison" and "Ocean in View". I don't know if you are aware of it, but the 2006 "Return to Monticello" is also considered part of the Westward Journey set. I'll check the NGC Census in a moment and be right back. Chris
2004 Peace Medal - PF69UC - 9112/1927 2004 Keelboat - PF69UC - 9084/1965 2005 Bison - PF69UC - 14768/3472 2005 Ocean in View - PF69UC - 14381/3578
sounds as if i will need to acquire it as well as a 2003 in the same condition for pure giggles. lol thanks man walter
Aw heck, population reports be hanged. As long as you like them dear fellow. I'll bet they do look spectacular.
Look at the bright side! As a collector submitting these for grading (as opposed to a dealer receiving a bulk discount), even if you got the 10% discount that Elite members receive, it would have costed $11.25 per coin plus shipping and insurance. Chris
cpm9ball: thanks, not sure what the numbers mean like the first opposed to the second. suppose i did get a decent deal and yes green18: i do find them to be quite attractive. i may be the only out there really enjoyed the transitive obverse as well
For example, 9112/1927, where 9112 represents the population in PF69UC and 1927 represents those coins graded higher (PF70UC). You're not the only one who likes these designs. I have 20,000 of the 2004-2006 P&D in Uncirculated bags & rolls plus 9 tubes of 2004-2006 proofs. Chris
I think you did well, the average price for a random NGC slab is about $6.50 on eBay, so a set could be resold there for a few bucks profit.
update. just ordered a return to monticello nickel for 8.00 pcg pf69uc. may pick up the last of the old engraving just to fill it out
