I read somewhere that they're going to go have a ceremoney to start printing the new ones. They started with the twenties three months ago...very strange.

I received an e-mail from the BEP that uncut 2009 $1 FRN's will be available - it did not give a date though.

Just got a report today of 2009 $1's in the L..A block, Fort Worth printings, turning up in circulation in Florida. Looks like the $20's aren't the only denomination to be reaching circulation very quickly these days--those also got out before the monthly production report was even posted. So keep your eyes peeled for the new series--they're out there!

Just got an e-mail from the BEP that the 2009 $20 uncut sheets will be out 3/1/10 - marked up of course.

When series 2006 first came out, I too went to several banks and even went through several straps looking for them but alas I could not find even one 2006. It was over 6 months later that I found my first 2006, an already well circulated $1 bill from the E-A block that I was given as change from a gas station. With 2009, I will either wait to be randomly given one in change or from a bank, or I will buy a few examples from some lucky collector who has been fortunate enough to already find some.
