Hey all, I have a few series '06 $20's that I was considering hanging onto, since they seem to have pretty short print runs, when compared to the usual 96 million note runs. Here is the info on them: ------------------------------------------------------------------ IF 05417507 I, 6.4 mil note run (This one is the most likely to be kept). IJ 93195572 A, 12.8 mil note run, from the less common DC run. IJ 19163694 B, 38.4 mil note run. IK 25332383 C, 25.6 mil note run, from the less common DC run. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Opinions on keepers vs. spenders would be appreciated. Thanks as always!
I would only keep these 6,400,000 (single print run) notes in CH-CU condition. IB-F (dc) ID-D (fw) IE-E (dc) IF-I (fw) IH-B (dc) II-B (fw) IL-F (dc) ....and of course, if you get your hands on a 2006 $20 IL* (128,000), that would be the key note. If any of your notes are not at least CH-CU, I would spend them. Check out the totals here; http://www.uspapermoney.info/groups/f2006_v.txt
Thank you Steve, for the input....and I appreciate the information on the short run notes, and the IL-*. I will keep my eyes out for those. Anyway, I've decided to ditch the IJ-B, and IK-C run notes. The print runs on those two are shorter than usual, but not short enough. So, that leaves the IF-I, and IJ-A notes. Here are photos of both notes. I really don't think the pictures do them justice, and actually may make them look slightly worse than they do, in hand (I've really got to get a scanner)...but anyway, here goes:
Well, it looks like like nobody else wants to weigh in on this. Thank you, again, to SIT, for the response. I've decided to keep the IF-I note. As for the IJ-A note, there is a small tear along the bottom margin, so back it goes, as well.
I have to agree with Steve. Most of these are spenders except for the IF if it is in Ch Cu condition. If they were stars I'd say hang onto them. The scans can be misleading, so if you look at them closely under a bright light and see any sort of folds, counting smudges, crinkles, anything, that might drop them into Unc grade and into spending category.
