Hi coin talk peeps, haven’t been on here in a long while. I have two bills with close but not exact, special serial numbers. Should I keep or spend? Both bills have lots of fold marks and a couple tiny corner bends. Let me know and i appreciate any advice. 2013 $50 MC 23222202 A 2017a $20 PG 50444454 A
Generally, we like Pics. but in this case, I'd say spend them. There's nothing special about the numbers and condition is everything. I hope this helps you spend your money wisely. Hopefully, something nice.

@veryberry917, this is a case where "value" & "collectability" is in the eye of the possessor (you). While these SN's initially catch the eye, they are really not special. Add to that the issue of condition you mentioned, and the fact that they are relatively high dollar, I suggest they are definitely spenders. (Perhaps if they were one's or two's, it wouldn't cost much to keep them.) To put it another way, if you could literally flush them down a toilet & it would have no impact on your prosperity, by all means keep them. JMHO
To me they are neat serial numbers but the reality is they are just neat. Nothing fancy about them. Spend them.
If you're going to squirrel away cash for emergencies, might as well make it bills with interesting serial numbers -- if nothing else, it'll make you less tempted to spend them when you shouldn't! Now, if you'd asked "keep, spend, or list on eBay/send for grading/start planning my early retirement", I think we'd all agree that it should be one of the first two...
yeah, that’s what I figured, after all the research I’ve done previously and the threads with this group, I was pretty sure they were spenders, but I needed to triple check!
