Where is a good place to sell silver as I'm in a bit of a conundrum with the latest batch of coins to be consigned to auction. I have several Morgans as well as some quarters & dimes. Auction prices for silver content coins seems to be hovering around spot price and slightly below (I'm assuming this is for any premium allowances). So the question is; Do I sell the coins and where or cast my lot with the auction with the hope of a bidding war ?
I carry my silver to my coin shop guy. He weighs it and pays me just a hair below spot. Cash in hand. No document trail... No muss - No fuss.
