I have the opportunity to get my hands on almost 10 ounces of Canadian silver coins. If I needed to sell these in the future, and quickly, where would I go about selling them for a fair price. A coin dealer? eBay? On CoinTalk? Let me know...
Any of those would be good....but be sure to offer them here first..as we can probably give you the fairest price. Can I ask what you would be paying? stainless
The good thing about canadian silver is thet it's .9999* pure if you don't mind me asking how much are you paying if you what you can pm me?
Depends.....Only the ounces of silver are .9999....if he is buying scrap melt it is only .900. stainless
Yeah, I'm getting 11-12 ounces of silver quarters. They're .800 silver, so more than 9 ounces of pure silver... Coin dealer? eBay? CoinTalk? If I were to sell, I'd want to get at least spot, or a tad below.
If you are going to sell for melt midwest refinery only charges 5% not bad. I would try here first someone may give you spot. Ice
Ebay can really be hit or miss. If you already have an account, and a good amount of positive feedback as a seller, you could probably get a pretty good price. But I think the fairest deal you'll get is probably on here if someones interested.
Canadian Silver is either .925 (Sterling) up to about 1920 or so, then .800 fine and some 1967 Silver is .500 fine.
correct and I thnk you should get at least melt value here, maybe moreon the bay but the fees and commision will kill you. No shop on the planet will offer melt, most are in to 90% rane, maybe a little higher.
I actually bought a bag of it last weekend at a coin show (From Sea Eagle Coins) for $50, Larry said the silver weight alone was 5.85oz! How could I say no?
I snookered 4 new Canadian dollars for my set in Tucson, when silver was at $11.25...I paid melt for 4 sliders. Not to bad.
I would think that since you live in Canada, just about anyone you know might be willing to buy the coins for melt or a bit more if they are older.
