Hello, I just wanted to tell everybody that I am tired of low grade junk coins I have that only take up space in my collection. I got good deals on them and Im getting my money back and some profit Have you ever had a clean up in your collection or you save everything you buy? Thanks
I usually sell things only to buy upgraded. Just like you. Don't sell everything though! Keep some to remember the memories.
Got a lot o' "junk" out of the change when I was a kid. A lot of it still resides with me. Helps me to remember where I came from........
I am going to try my hardest not to sell anything I didn't buy with intentions of flipping in the first place.
My intentions are not to sell anything. keep them for memories and for the future. But everything does have a price though.
I'm slowly reducing my hoard of stuff. I just sold off about $180 Face of junk silver. Now my next project is to search through all the wheat i have and reduce the number down to a more managable number, cause 20K+ of them is just too many.
Have you posted any on the new classified section here? I got an e-mail about it the other day, but haven't checked it out much. Remember, what's junk to you might be just what someone else is looking for to fill a hole.
I've been toying with the idea of getting rid of my junk silver and narrowing down my collection to something more specific rather than trying to collect a little bit of everything. However, I'll wait until silver gets closer to $100 / oz before really going that route.
I got rid of most of my "junk" silver recently but I have a lot of common dates that need upgrading. That's the only time I sell.
When I got back into collecting in 2009 I basically got rid of 80% of my childhood collection. It was mainly low grade silver and ALOT of wheatbacks. Over a period of few months I got rid of all I wanted to get rid of and bought coins I always wanted as a kid and upgrades to coins I had low grades & that had problems. I am happy I did it. I have about 8 coins from my childhood I kept cause they werent lowly junk.
