Sell as set or individually? Bust Coins

See attached Pict: Should I sell these Bust Coins as a set? Or will I make more selling individually? And, is the dollar worth paying to get certified? I inherited my Dads coin collection and I'm trying to figure out what's worth the most. These look like the most valuable. Thank you in advance forum and stay healthy out there!

I would send the dollar in to be graded.

Separately; not everyone has enough cash to afford a nice group like the one you have there.

Agree with both posters above. Long time collectors are cautious these days because the market is flooded with Chinese fakes. It would be difficult to bring full value on that dollar uncertified. Very nice set.

Good point - hadn't thought about it that way. Thanks!

Nice coins. Generally sets are sold individually to maximize value.
Would it be easy to get reverse pictures? Some here could check the die marriages then, just in case you have something good.

Great coins! I too would recommend piecing the collection out. You'll find more specialized buyers that way and likely receive a higher premium.

The quarter was the last year of this series. It only had one die marriage. The half dollar appears to be O-102. Better pics for more clarification. Another common die pairing. I would send the dollar, half dollar and quarter dollar to get graded. Those seem to sell better graded.

I'm leaning to O-110 on the half, note how the base of the A in STATES fits with the T's on either side. Not that it matters, a common variety either way.

Collectors are reluctant to buy the whole set when they don’t need all of the coins that in it. You will probably get more if you sell the coins one at a time.

Just an FYI. I don't know how familiar you are with coins but don't clean any of them. You have a great set. Be sure to keep these and whatever else you have in their original state.

I initially thought O-110 also. Something else sent me looking at O-102. But, that was last night and I have slept since then. I would need better pics.

Thanks everyone! Very helpful info... I'll take them to an NGC certified dealer to send off for certification or send myself. This helps me do the right thing with my late father's investment. He loved coins - so much that he wouldn't sell any when the house was falling in! I'll post other unique ones in new threads...I have a 2020 coin book that's helping me sort things out...
