Today I received this strange AE coin from Seleukos I Nicator described on wildwinds as Medusa winged headdress with snakes ? a more general Gorgon with snakes ?
and also as Alexander with winged headdress.
    Bull on the reverse.

I'm not at all an 'expert' but I believe I can discern the 'winged' aspect on Alexander's headdress---cool coin!!

Most of the examples in CNG's archives call the obverse "winged head of Medusa" but one older listing calls it "winged head of a gorgon right, with the features of Alexander". Whatever the case, it is definitely a cool coin :)

Neato! I like this type... I believe it comes in two sizes. Here's my example of the smaller one.
