Seleucid Military Elephant ?

    Hi. This Ancient Seleucid coin weighs 7.7 g. The reverse shows clearly an elephant at a time when ancient armies used to exploit elephants in their military campaigns, namely Alexander The Great and Hannibal.     that's a very nice coin 7c, bust has great detail the elephant is cool. i really like the "bottle cap" seleucids.

    Antiochus VI is the one with all the bottle-cap elephants. I can't make out the inscription from the pic, but it should be ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΥ ΕΠΙΦΑΝΟΥΣ ∆ΙΟΝΥΣΟΥ.
