I really like these Seleucid bronze coins! Even in their weathered condition, the portraits are beautiful. My thanks to @John Anthony, @Ken Dorney, and @Aethelred, for offering some of these fine coins for adoption. Many of these coins are ex. WKR Collection.
I have a couple of serrates but I haven't attributed them other than knowing they're seleucid. Great presentation Ray!
Wonderful collection and great presentation. You've seen the only one I have but I will be looking out for more. Antiochus IV Epiphanes aka Epimanes The Mad One or Mad King
Thanks, Jwt708! When I bought my 14 coin Holy Land Collection (my first ancient coins) from the Royal Mint ten years ago—the collection included a Seleucid Kings coin. I decided that I would like to collect coins representing all of the kings. I didn't realize that there were over 30 rulers of the Seleucid Empire. Anyway—I haven't ruled out that goal—although it's going to take a bit longer than I had expected.
Awesome coins Ray and your presentation is superb as always. This one's not in the best of shape but it's yours if you want it.
Instead of posting all 8 bronze from this kingdom I own, how about my favorite? Antiochos I Soter, Seleucid Kings of Syria; 281-261 BC Æ, 16mm, 4.01 g; 3h; Antioch mint Obv.: Diademed head right Rev.: Apollo Delphios seated left; monograms to left and right
