    BATTERup646 I'm back again

Never posted what I got, and I figured I could describe it. It was a nice YN set, nothing too crazy though. (Not that I didn't like it or appreciate it)

One nice book about us coins (In general)
    A few foreign coins
    two error Lincoln cents

    Golden eggs

    2000 wide AM
and an AG 1854 large cent

    Thanks Santa! :)

"Foreign coins" "2 error Lincoln cents" and "a nice book about us coins" and "golden eggs"...? Can you be a little more descriptive? I understand if you can't share a photo, but at least be kind enough to spell out exactly what you received. Your SS probably picked out each coin/book intentionally and it wouldn't take you too long to properly thank him/her.

Thank you to my Secret Santa this year! I'm very sorry to hear about your house and I hope everything is alright. Thanks for the coins :) There's a couple in there that will fit right into a few holes.

Ok, I'm WAY LATE in posting this, and I'm sorry - but credit where credit is due!

So after the holidays, I managed to have quite the hell of a start to the new year. After an 11 hour trip from Reno to Sacramento in the worst snow storm I've driven in over that hill in 30some years - and having my wife's brand new car get HIT by a big rig, getting home to find water seeping into my brand new car, an ear infection, the flu, a family crisis and a job that suddenly required all my time, and finding just enough sleep to manage in zombie mode for the last month...

I'm finally through it all. Both cars now home safe and in good repair, still sniffeling a bit, but able to breathe, hearing in both ears...

And a Secret Santa gift that was long overdue to be posted!

I got a very rare 1972 Rose Bowl sterling medal (2000 minted), and a very rare 1941 20 cent piece US / Philipines coin. I love the Rose Bowl medal! I grew up in "SillyCon Valley" and remember the big brewhaha when the Stanford Indians became the Stanford Cardinals somewhere around 1980.

THANK YOU SECRET SANTA! Only 10 more months until next Christmas! :)

And a final thank you to our SS Manager - who obviously gave out his own address instead of others so he would get the most gifts! ;):D:D:D

(And with a bit of luck, this post will put me up over 2000 likes, as I just passed 2000 posts. That means almost 1 person liked everything I said! A first EVER in my life!!!)

No he didn't unless you asked, I guess... cuz I don't have it and he didn't get anything from me... Either that or he gave it out to all others but me because he didn't want a cat stalking him.

I'm your first like here... sorry you had so many issues this new year but am glad to hear you are coming out of that and will survive.

    Awesome to see!

While I regret taking this long to post pictures I am glad to bump this thread with them now.

I had my mail on hold at the Post Office during the holidays as my family and I were forced to move out of our rental due to conditions with mold and air quality before we had another place to live lined up. As such, most of our possessions are in a storage facility owned by a schoolmate of my Dad's. My setup for photography was included there, somewhere, but instructions were not followed by those who helped load the storage unit so I still don't know if I have everything I left with. Working full time and 4 young kids leaves little time to try to go through the storage unit. And winter.

So we are staying with my Dad in my childhood home and at first were touring homes with a local realtor. We had been interested in a couple prospective future homes.....

Then came the fire and the aftermath, which solidified my resolve to make the long thought of and long overdue move out of state. Dealing with the fallout of that fire consumes time and effort I'd rather expend elsewhere, and may delay the move longer than I hope. I could go on, but I'd rather not. It's exhausting.

I ended the hold on my mail after picking up that package I wrote about earlier. After ending the hold I made one more trip out just to check and got a 2nd package! Thank you so much SS2! Your kind words are very much appreciated.

These gifts deserved better than a blurry cell phone pic.

With some warmer weather recently and a bit more daylight each day, I was able to go to the storage unit and locate some of my photography set up. My computer is in storage so I'm using one unfamiliar to me and when I tried to crop the images the program would close. Not being my PC, I'll not mess around and just post the photos as they are. I apologize for the excess background, but the overall quality of the coin image is fitting of the gifts bestowed.

So, without further ado, I proudly display the generosity of "Back-up Santa" (black background) and "SS2" (red background). THANK YOU to two amazing fellows!
