Recently appraised a collection that had an interesting piece. It appears to be a Seated half dollar struck on a quarter planchet. I feel it's a quarter planchet because it weighs 6.2 grams. Only par t of the edge shows reeding. It is a San Francisco mint, but the date is not visible. We will probably submit it to a grading service.
I do not have the coin now so I can't give any more specific info.
Just thought I'd post it to see what anyone things.
    Thank, Pete

Actually, it looks genuine, from the two photos,
    and the weight you gave.

Wow! Spectacular Hope you submit it to PCGS
so I get to see it in-hand.

Made my day, seeing something like that!

Too bad there's no date, but I really think that's asking a bit much in this case.

    Nice coin.

It would be the center piece of any collection.

Here is an SBA dollar on a cent planchet. 1978S SBA on Cent MS64 RD.jpg Technically, the SBA is an obsolete coin like your seated liberty 'eh? :D
