Scan your receipt, you will need it for evidence during the dispute. He is possibly trying to scam you or... they could have been stolen by a postal worker.. you never know.. sucks either way

Opened 'em, didn't find silver, wants to cover his loss at your expense.

If you have a receipt where it was actually weighed at the post office and have other similar lots that had the same weight, I would say you have pretty solid proof that it is a lie. Hopefully Ebay sees what is going on here and doesn't give him money he doesn't deserve.

Or better yet imagine if Ebay actually penalized people who were blatantly lying. Woah

As an eBay buyer I still feel your pain. Without eBay sellers where would we be purchasing coins. I'm sorry this happened to you. I do however suggest you set a limit of who can bid on your items ie:min 10 feedback. This can be done in your settings sections. Good Luck!

But then again, that kind of screws over people who are just starting out, or happened to buy from sellers who never gave them feedback. That's the case with me (both reasons actually). And I always pay, don't pull things like that, and always leave good reviews if I got what I bargained for.

Wow. Buyer with zero feedback and you shipped $2800 worth of silver to him. I wonder if dishonest employees of bay'n'paypl (current or former) are not running these types of scams as they have inside knowledge of how it will play out.
I would contact ( in writing) a higher authority than the ones who just robbed me.

I just weighed a roll of clad quarters........8.028 oz.

That works out to 5.0175 lbs.

If you shipped 'Insured", then filed a claim with the Post Office.

So 10 rolls of half dollars should weigh much more than 5 lbs.

Uh no. A box of fifty rolls weighs about 24 pounds.

$10 in quarters weighs the same as $10 in halves.
