I have 50+ 2009P Formative years cents with a light vertical mark under Abe's _right_ foot (one on the left as you look at it)> I tried to scan it w/ 3200 dpi on my Epson photo scanner but cannot get it right. Anyone else have these? Also my "bootstrap" error coins also look like they have a cud & partial fill in the split in the log. Any info would be a great help!

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

A cud is the term for a die break at the rim. What you have, if it is in the middle of the coin, is a die break. This is easy to believe, given the severity of the die crack I've seen on the so-called "bootstrap" coins.

All I have seen is what's posted online, it's a bit difficult to obtain them where I am.

Scanners are tough, it's easier with a camera where you can angle the coin so the die crack catches the light better.
