Scanning US State Coins

    I'm not American, but have a pretty sizable US state coin collection going, that I'm almost done scanning. Here's a sample of a US State coin that I've just scanned.

    I have not done any correction on this image. It's a lot of work, but it's going to be worth it in the end, I think.

    Scanners are generally pretty terrible at imaging coins. This is not meant to be an insult to your scanning abilities -- I think you did about as well as you could with your scanner. But why not buy a cheap camera to take these? Or use a camera phone even?
