Would all three of these be considered type 1 IMG_20170502_104848.jpg IMG_20170502_104843.jpg IMG_20170502_104837.jpg

    No.

As for the Type 1 question... what is Type 1? If you mean Wide Rim, it only applies to P coins in 1979, right?

My guess is that the OP is simply referring to them as "silver dollars" in the same way many non-coin people do (although usually only to Ikes), and not trying to claim his coin actual silver. On the other hand, nothing surprises me here anymore, so who knows.

Only the proof versions of 1979 and 1981 even have Type 1 and Type 2 mintmarks. These, as 1979-S business strikes, are all the same - crappy.

That variety is not usually referred to by a number. You have it right per NGC - wide rim. I prefer the description "near date", but what do I know?

Thank you for clarifying I just had a friend look at my collection of dollar coins and he mention something about type 1 and type 2 so I had to look into it but got a little confused on the different types of websites I looked into

For once I agree with BooksB4Coins. Mark this date down in history. How's that for pettiness?

Do I really need to explain this to you... again? Or is it that you'd really prefer to start another asinine argument?

My earlier post has and had absolutely nothing to do with you. If you agree, great. If not, that's fine too, but it wasn't, in any way, meant as an open invitation for more nonsense.

Oh, that's right... the schmuckish and unnecessary little comments must've been a figment of my imagination. My deepest apologies (roll eyes here).

As always, it's been fun, but I'd like to respectfully bow out now. You win the internet today. Enjoy!

It is easy to agree that people call copper/nickel coins "silver".

1979. Call it an educated guess.
