I bought about 500 coins for £50 on Saturday, lots of silver some scrap, mainly German and other European.
I began to check the dates and MM`s of the German coins and got quite a surprise.

    1951 ""G" 2 Mark fairly scarce.

    Third Reich 5 Reichspfennig 1936 "A"

    003-tile.jpg

    4 x 1 Reichmarks 1935, 1936, 1937 all "A" in high grade.

    007-tile.jpg

    3 x 5 Mark Potsdam Garrison Church

    009-tile.jpg

    3 x 5 Mark Hindenburgs

    011-tile.jpg

    Federal Republic 5 Marks 1951 "J 1956 "F"

10 Reichspfennig 1934 "G" low mintage and scarce.

    An 1872 US Shield Nickel.

A silver Eire Pearse 10 Shilling.

Also a good mixture of copper and silver.

I had a pretty good day and if I sold just one of those coins I could recover my costs .

Well done! Was it a boot sale, auction, or something else?

It was a lady who was moving house , the coins were in a large jar and she couldn`t remember where they had come from.
£50 was based on the silver value, she was happy to get rid.

1 pie, I think is short for 1 pice, and Indian coin denomination (so many pie to the rupee and all that stuff).
